Aventura – Rethinking Education

Image
Most of the people love the concept of education. It is common knowledge that a good education is linked with a higher quality of life. That is why people who fail to pursues higher education don't do so deliberately. Usually it happens because they have some other restricting factor. This factor can be of financial nature or it can be of methodological nature. While we have recognized the first one, and we are actively providing financial opportunities for more and more people, little or nothing is done for the former. Aventura  is going to be an organization which focuses on developing new methods of teaching. We need this that because there is a big issue with the way we are teaching right now––these methods are not inclusive enough. Everybody has different talents and different ways how to retain information. Nevertheless, since the inception of compulsory schooling, the most common way to teach has been frontal instruction. A World We Dare To Imagine

I want to create a world in which everyone enjoys quality higher education. I am who I am because I had a quality education from my childhood onwards. I learned to appreciate all the opportunities I have and I believe that everybody deserves the same privileges. With new methods many more people could thrive in education. Since the invention of schooling, there have not been many changes to the style of teaching. The so called "frontal teac...

I am still relatively new to the sport and I realized that I have still much to learn about it. My teammates and the coach have been hyping up this weekend for weeks. Thus, I decided to do some research and to write my random blog post about this upcoming regatta. The History Rowing is the oldest collegiate sport. It started out in 1852 with the race between Harvard and Yale. Ever since, the ivy league schools dominated the landscape of collegiate championships, and most of the talent was concentrated on the east coast. In 1973, they organized the first "San Diego Crew Classic" regatta (SDCC). The idea of a regatta on the west coast was accepted enthusiastically by many collegiate teams. This first race featured 12 races with 300 athletes. An old picture of a rowing boat at one of the first regattas Since then, the competition was organized yearl...
