Who killed Pluto?
For my first reading I chose Mike Brown's "How I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It Coming." I chose it because I am interested in astronomy. You might remember from my first post that I used to be in my school's astronomy club. In addition I am taking an Astronomy class for my General Education this semester. As I told my former physics teacher and mentor I would take the subject, he instantly said that I should try to attend Mike Brown lectures. He must have thought that it was possible to attend lectures at another university if they were in the same city. I had to explain him that it is not as easy to do that.
I already started to read the book and I like it so far. He illustrates very well how his passion for the planets was born. I was interested in the sky, but I never had such an experience which pushed me into astronomy. Nevertheless, I can relate every time he describes the sky.
